a month agoFor a $20 wash I expect to have a clean car. This is just pathetic my car is still really dirty. I cannot even tell I went through a car wash.The vacuum has very low suction. It’s sad because had a membership here 6 years ago and this was a nice place. This is my second visit to this location in 5 months and it is my last (after the first time I have checked out other places). I don’t like to give a bad review without giving a second chance. I asked for assistance both times and was not helped. After reading other recent reviews this seems to be a trend at this location which is unfortunate because with the right staff it could be a big money maker.2 weeks agoSo, an honest review.If you are someone whom takes pride in detailing your car, this place’ll help knock off the dirt pretty well. No, not the greatest car wash. Pretty darn decent, though. Wheel wash works again. I guess. Owner, if you’re reading this, it would be very great for business to really look into this. (Wheel washing) Or look at dropping the prices of the washes and in stating the feature details of the service *”partial tire/rim cleaning”.
Also the vacuums. Dude, I’m sure you get this lament 35 times a day, minimum. Find a better way to keep your vacuum pressures proficient!

3 months agoHands-down the worst car wash in town. So to begin with you pull up and the young boys that work there try to sell you a membership. I explain to them that I had had a bad experience about a month ago but that I was going to try them again because their vacuums are good and it’s convenient to my house. The rags and the free wipe are a nice touch because you’re gonna be cleaning your car yourself I go through the car wash and I come out and the same problem as I had last time. There’s still bugs on my hood bugs on my windshield bugs on my side window even some of my car doors. When I call him over here is like oh you know our equipment is broken. I said that’s what I heard a month ago. But a month ago the girls working there came out and hand cleaned my windshield. These guys shrugged their shoulders. I asked for their spray. Which they promptly watched me use with all three of them standing around. They told me I could run it through again, but I asked what was the point if the machine is broken. They said that high could ask in the future to put extra spray on the front of the car. Wouldn’t it make sense that if you knew that the thing that cleaned windshields was broken that you would automatically spray it? So after I spent 20 minutes cleaning bugs off myself, I said you know what would be best just give me a refund. They said we can’t do that. I asked them why they are selling car washes if some of the equipment is broken. They said because the rest is working. I told him I’d be better off at the car wash down the street. Truthfully, I would’ve been better off with a water hose in my driveway. And I was told well, their equipment is not as good as ours. I said, but I don’t think theirs is broken and I don’t understand why you’re selling car washes to a broken car wash. What I really wanted to say was what if you went to get your happy meal and all you got was your drink , your toy and your burger, and when you asked where your fries were, they said oh I’m sorry the french fry machine is broken and we don’t do refunds so here’s a fry box maybe you can go home and make your own fries?a week agoI’ve only been here 3-4 times and just recently purchased a monthly pass. Each time, I was greeted by a young man named Darren, who greeted me with a smile, pleasant conversation, and “Have a blessed day” as I pulled away. Today, I went in to speak with the manager, Mike, about the great customer service given to me each time I’ve been there and I found the manager to be just as customer service oriented as Darren!! In a day and time where customer service has gone the way of the flip phone, it’s so refreshing to know it still exists at the Denton Superstar location!! Very friendly and helpful staff, great price for the monthly membership and your car actually gets clean unlike other car washes! Vacuums also work better than any others! I initially began using Take 5 in Addison and loved their service. The last couple of oil changes I started using this location because it is closer to home. I went in for top of service. They tried to get me to purchase a new air filter which had just been replaced but I declined.
The tech put the filter back on but did NOT clamp and secure the cover appropriately. I don’t drive the vehicle daily but did today to run errand. The vehicle loses power and eventually stalled.
Thankfully I made it somewhere for them to check my car and this error code came up. He pops the hood to find the problem which is utterly disgusting. Thankfully I had not traveled a long distance. Take 5 do better, customer service and safety should be a priority! And with your prices it’s disgusting. I wish I could post the video but I will definitely make a formal complaint with them.
We purchased package 3. It totally missed cleaning the back of my Ford Explorer but the cleaning station supplies & a little elbow grease took care of that. It is so awesome that you have this available!! Payton was the station attendant & was helpful, friendly & very courteous & gave us an air freshener!!
BUYER BEWARE! This place is scamming customers by selling subscriptions. I was sold a “trial” subscription car wash of unlimited washes for one month. After one month, I was promised I would not be charged. Six months later, my card is still being charged, even after I went up there and asked them to stop the charges. There were so many customers up there doing the same thing that they can no longer refund people’s money in person bc it’s taking up so much of their time! You now have to go through an app to get your money refunded. I couldn’t believe it. I’m still trying to get this resolved $120 later!!

There are a million other car washes out there that charge $10 for the basic that actually clean your car. This isn’t one of them. No prep before you roll through…everywhere else at the very least gets your front bumper for you…and the wash itself is lackluster. My car was NOT clean. Best I can do is not go there again and warn others to pick another car wash. I can’t imagine why people would subscribe to this place…they are literally throwing their money down the drain!! Come on Take 5, you can do better!
Brian Zandy gave me excellent customer service. Next time I’m buying a month pass.
