5 months agoService was just terrible. Car got scratched contacted them and manager was rude. They didn’t want to take any liability, manager claim it didn’t happen there. I asked if they could review camera footage and they didn’t want to. Please go somewhere else. Also cleaning was poorly done. Save your money. Zero stars for this place2 months agoI have lived in alameda for going on 10+ years. And have been to this car wash many many times. I have the say the quality of the wash has gone down hill considerably. In the bast you could count on the outside being clean and the inside well vacuumed and wiped down. My last visit there was still bird poop on the roof and window. The doors and seats still had smudges from The kids sun screen. This could have easily been wiped off. And in the past would have been. When I brought it up they said it would be an extra charge to have what you expect to be done when you pay for a car wash. I was not asking for a detailed new car clean. But the basic wash, vacuum and wipe down. I did not receive that. Very disappointed. And this is not the first time it was a poor cleaning. Will be taking my business elsewhere from here on out.11 months agoI got super disappointed with the quality of the service. The outside was ok but inside looks like no one cleaned it. A lot marks and dust. I should’ve believe on the reviews here. I know I should’ve said something but I didn’t have to energy to complain and get moody. Btw- I got the 37.99 car wash which I believe it was the best one. Never AGAIN4 months agoDon’t bother. The guys here are clearly working hard and it’s appreciated but for $65 leaving smudges, hard water spots, and new scratches is a sore deal.
4 months agoTook my car there for a wash on 7/13. When I returned after an hour my car did not start, I noticed that they left my high beam light on, why would anyone have their high beams lights on at 11am. I asked the cashier inside to assist with locating someone who can assist with giving my car a jump. The manager assisted with locating a staff member for help. I was immediately blamed for my car not starting. The staff member kept telling me I left my car lights on and I shouldn’t do that and they are not allowed to touch the lights. Which is ridiculous because they do wipe down the car. It’s ridiculous that after leaving my car for them to wash that was on that I would get blamed for my car not starting rather than immediately assisting with the issue. In addition to that the staff member brought out a battery charger that was unable to restart the car. He even got frustrated with me saying I was not starting my car properly. I’m assuming this treatment was due to me being a woman. He finally got another car to jump my car. I am extremely appalled by the treatment I received for an error they made. I understand mistakes are made and I was ready to just receive some assistance in resolving the issue and move in, but instead I get mistreated and belittle by the employee. Will never go back, I do not recommend you go back. This was the worse customer service I have ever received at any car wash in my life.

5 months agoGreat self service car wash. Decent price for rinse and soap up. Plenty of space to move around. Always clean and hardly ever a long wait. Vacuums have strong suction and give you plenty of time for you money. Token use only. They accept cash, card and tap pay. Car always looks great when we leave. Appreciate that others respect the rules and keep music at a minimum. Don’t forget your rags to dry your car after.4 months agoIdk if it’s because I come here in the afternoons and every Employee is tired and exhausted or because they just don’t pay attention to detail. I’ve came here plenty of times to get my car cleaned from the inside and outside. Only cost me $30. Sometimes they don’t wipe some easy access areas which kinda bothers me but they’re friendly everytime tho and I always leave them a tip because they’re hard workers. Gets your car cleaned tho even tho it’s not deep cleaned.3 years ago‘Alameda Hand Car Wash’ does an excellent job in power washing before a sponge ever touches the paint. It’s the best Car Wash I have taken my vehicles to. Next door is a Self Service Car Wash if you like to do it yourself.2 years agoAbsolutely one of the most thorough and cleanest car washes I’ve ever had in the Bay Area! Seems to be family owned. I got the Detail #3 and paid a bit extra for pet hair cleanup and vacuum. Well worth it for the work they performed, both outside and inside my car! My mats were washed, too. They definitely deserve to be tipped, especially if it’s hot outside and there’s a line of cars waiting. Total time from start to finish was between 30-45 min. I’ll be coming back!3 years agoThough busy at times quick efficient service is what Follow Charlie is all about. Prices are pretty much similar to others but if you’re in a pinch they offer self service next door.

It was kinda funny because when I drove up to the front of the line, a tech (he was wearing a uniform like the other workers there) greeted me with my first name. I guess they had my card on file from the other time I got my oil changed there.
This was my second time going there. The worst part about going there, for me, is the location. It is in a bad neighborhood–just a block away from a homeless encampment. I loved that there was only one car ahead of me, and I was able to stay in my car the whole time.
The people who waited on me were friendly. The person who was physically doing the oil change couldn’t speak English–there were others that answered my questions. There was someone else checking the pressure on my tires. Someone else supporviising them. Some else who asked for my credit card.
It was a way different experience than many decades ago with just one person doing everything.
I would never recommend my worst enemy go here. I have been going to the High Street Carwash for years. I paid them $45.00 and a tip to have them steal from me.
I went to the carwash, and as I was getting out, I saw my $325 Chloe shades in the case. I said to myself, Let me grab those, and started grabbing my phone, water bottle, and some papers with identifying information and completely forgot.
I then tipped the Man for providing a service and drove off. I went to grab my sunglasses case, and it WAS GONE! I called, and the Supervisor who went on to say he has worked there for 11 years and never had an allegation of theft! Red flag number one! I then reminded him that when I was paying for the wash, someone called saying their passport that was under the floorboard was gone! He said everyone blames the car wash but he would get back to me in a few days. I then drove back there and demanded to see the video, which is dark and does not keep a continuous recording of the vehicles.
I am livid; I wore those glasses almost every day. On my phone alone, I have over 50 pictures of me wearing those glasses, and for them to tell me they were not in my car when I wear them every day was so insulting. For me to pay for a service and then get my property stolen was so disturbing and disrespectful.
I will never go there again, and I say, GO AT YOUR OWN RISK!! To me, IT IS NOT WORTH it! I am making it my mission to tell anyone who will listen. It is not right to steal!
One of the best and fastest car wash with oil change they said in 8 minutes when they not busy but most of the time you may wait longer. They have great lobby for customer to be relaxed till they getting the car wash or oil change. Going there from long time meet nice people every time visiting. I think they are price is kind of higher. They need to have kind of deal for the customers who visiting always mast have a free car wash who changes oil in this location 2 to 4 time. I think it be fair!!!!
This place not only provide machine car wash, but car wash done by hand. The detailing services requires additional time. I brought both my Tesla model 3 and y here for their car detailing and included the 5 year ceramic coating. I would recommend dropping off your vehicle for this type of service since it requires a lot of time.
I was taken care of by Kevin and Anthony. The process took over 3 hours with detailing and ceramic coating. I was lucky I only worked about a mile away. I just caught a quick Uber ride to work. By the time my cars were complete, I was already done with work. The ceramic coat works wonders just in time for the rainy seasons.
Great overall service and professionalism. A++ I definitely recommend this place. Cars came out looking fresh.
I’m pretty sure they did not give me a full oil change. My car gave me the low oil alarm at only 5,500 miles after my fully synthetic oil change. After I had fully pulled in they told me I had to pay an extra $18.52 for VW cover at the bottom of my vehicle, which is kinda annoying given I couldn’t really get away at that point.
They usually have a Groupon so if you’re okay with more frequent oil changes then maybe this is for you.
