a month agoHonestly disappointed, this isn’t a $300 (which would have been more had I not found a coupon) detail. I was hesitant on getting a full detail but I was assured it would be “spotless”. I was told seats would be clean and everything shampooed. I understand not everything always comes out. I am a former detail shop business owner before moving back to ND. I would recommend this place for maybe basic car washes and wipe downs. Not a detail shop. I will attach photos of a few of the things I have noticed thus far after picking it up. I am giving two stars only because the young guy who presented the vehicle at the end did go around a fix a few things I noticed right away like the brake dust on wheels and dirty door jambs and dirt by foot pedals. This is in my opinion a $100-$150 wash and wipe at best.8 months agoI just moved here and drove across country, so my car needed some care.The wash is good and everyone is polite!
I did the $30 package; wash, vacuum and interior wipe down.
A lot was missed. I understand it’s not a detail package. I just expected to get the more obvious areas.
4 months agoOrdered the “Full Service” car wash for $36.00 which included a full wipe down of the dash and inside, vacuuming, and cleaning of the windows inside and out. Do NOT purchase this car wash service. The high school boys that provide the service did not bother to do an actual wipe down inside — they missed loads of dust on the dash, debris on the carpet (they didn’t even bother to do under the seats), and they didn’t even bother to open up the trunk and vacuum there. I specifically cleared out my entire car so that they would be able to get the whole thing but clearly they don’t care to provide a thorough service.SAVE YOUR MONEY AND CLEAN YOUR CAR AT HOME!!
a year agoThis is the 2nd time this has happened to me this year. years ago they did a good job, I think that as time goes by the good work they did before is declining. again yesterday I paid for the package that they offer you cleaning inside (surfaces) I even talked to the cashier about my bad experience last time. When I received my car, one of the young people who cleaned told me your car is ready and I asked him if they cleaned the interior surfaces as the package I bought said, which he only said I only cleaned the windows, I don’t know if my co-worker did the rest, when I got into the car, the car was the same as I gave it to them, I went back to talk to the manager, who offered to clean up a bit of what they didn’t do, in the end everything It continued practically the same as I gave it to them, there was no refund offer, an apology, absolutely nothing, I simply left disappointed, annoyed, feeling that I spent money just for washing the car on the outside. I do not recommend it sadly. They must do a better job or simply do not offer something that they are not going to clean.3 months agoOnce again I got to appreciate others behind me in line get their vehicle through before mine. 2 months agoI agree with an earlier review, staff was very pleasant but this car wash is made for city vehicles. Not the ones who have had to venture off pavement My car was covered in dust from gravel roads but not a drop of mud, still I elected for the top level wash. Initially I was very pleased, impressed really when the wash was paused after I entered and I saw an attendant slip a cover over my rear wiper so that it wouldn’t drip mud down the back of my car after the wash, made total sense !! But it also left me with a false sense of security. I do not live here and it wasn’t until I’d already continued down the highway and stopped again that I saw the state of the back of my vehicle …..if I still lived here I would never use this wash again unfortunately.4 months agoGreat carwash, quick and easy, was having issues with the mat washer but Logan helped me. Employees are freindly and it seems like they actually enjoy their job!3 months agoThe service is always top notch, great people always, but unfortunately I can’t recommend it past that. Might work better for some vehicles, but my Tahoe doesn’t get well cleaned. The windshield, grill and front bumper, and the back window came out just as dirty as they went in. Mirrors also didn’t get cleaned. Second wash in a row that I’ve had this problem. Again, great people, but just doesn’t work for me.10 months agoVery disappointed. I took my vehicle through the wash and the bottom half and tire rims were not clean at all. I went back through the line and the attendant kindly let me go through again, which I appreciated, however when I exited the car wash a second time my vehicle had NOT gotten any cleaner. Very disappointing for taking a vehicle through what is supposed to be considered a superior wash. I sent photos over Facebook to Tommy’s to let them know I was told I should have gone back through the line again. Perhaps I should have, but it didn’t clean the vehicle the first two times. I frequent the WashBarn in both Mandan and Bismarck without major problems, mostly mud piles from previous customers, which the ownership can’t fix, but today took the cake! I went to wash my car in the third stall at the Mandan location started putting in my quarters and it kept eating them without recognizing the deposit only a third of my quarters were recognized (12/36) and then I tried calling the phone listed at the property and not only did no one answer, given that it’s a Sunday is more understandable, but you can’t leave a message because the voicemail is full. If you’re gonna be open on a Sunday, then maybe you need to have someone available for a phone call. So am I just out $7.50? I guess that’s one way to make more money.
Only Cold water, NO WASH SOAP had to use the brush to clean entire vehicle and rinse for $10.00. Doors randomly broken. VAC too bulky to get anything but your seats. The “wash” mode wouldn’t clean anything but the bubbles. My car wasn’t filthy, just road dust that I could wipe off with my finger. Will not be returning. Only stopped here because I have a roof rack that brings my clearance above 7 feet high.
Oh Boy! First I’ll start by saying, I am traveling with my husband in Mandan, ND and staying for a month at the RV park across from The Washbarn. The Washbarn is convenient for the RV park directly across the street. It has a carwash with multiple bays and a huge one for big trucks or RVs ⭐, dog wash ⭐, and laundry washers & dryers. However, the dog wash and laundry areas are located in the same room without dividers or nothing separateing the two areas, so as you walk in it smells like dogs 🐶. I love dogs but not the smell when the trying to get my laundry cleaned. There are only 4 washers and 4 dryers. Wash is $2.50 (heavy loads $3) and dry is $1.50 per load, not too bad🙂. However, the washers were embarrassingly filthy dirty. Not sure if they are just unkept or it was the lady before me that used up all 4 washers and threw her clothes in without emptying her pockets and without shaking off her blankets that appeared she used them somewhere in the woods that mud and leaves where trapped in the washers in every crevice of the washers. 🫤 As there is no sink or faucet or even a bathroom, I had to use one of my tshirts to clean the mud inside and pull all the leaves she left inside…it was really nasty, so I threw my tshirt away. ☹️ Once I cleared and cleaned the washers they were safe to wash clothes again. I was surprised that my clothes came out cleaned and the dryers dried all my clothes in one cycle. 🙂 I would recommend if you come to this location to wash, bring a sanitizer and rag and give it a wipe before washing…also bring a chair because there’s no where to sit if you plan on waiting inside. I hope the owners read this to help improve accommodations and help upkeep this area.
This place is absolutely terrible and I will never go back again! I came into The Wash Barn Car/RV Wash thinking that I would come out with a clean car, but NO! Not only were the bays completely caked in mud from someone dropping all their excessive mud, but I spent quite a bit of money and time attempting to get my car clean. After quite a bit time of “cleaning”, my car not only did not have any dirt or dust removed from it, but it looked WORSE than it was coming in! It is absolutely mind boggling how this place is still in business if no one would be able to actually clean their car without spending 40$+ and a butt load of time. I will NEVER go back and am definitely sharing this with everyone who I know needing a car wash experience.
Love the convince of self cleaning but whatever you do, do not use cash app card. I figured it would take $2.50 but it took all the money I had on cash app!
