in the last weekI’ve had a membership with club car wash for about 2 years. The billing is inconsistent hard to manage through online portal. As a car wash the service is mid-level. As a business they are abysmal to deal with. Very obviously poorly run at an upper management level. They also have a no refund policy to purposefully make their disastrous billing system even worse. 3 months agoThe people working here are always so polite and helpful. They are very cheerful, even when working in the extremes of our weather. I have used them for tire repair for a few decades now and I don’t think they charge any more now than ever. It’s not a fancy place like the big chain retail repair shops, but they are always well stocked with whatever they need to get us back on the road.a year agoThis is the best mechanic shop in Lawrence. Rich is kind, honest, and an all-around great person on top of being a highly skilled car detective. I have been a customer for years, taken many different cars in, and always been pleased with the service. There are only two bays at the shop, so sometimes the wait list to get in is lengthy, but I assure you it’s worth it! These guys never disappoint!a year agoGood people, which isn’t something I always associate with auto shops. They helped me get my car running same night after an accident even after Triple A had screwed me over and they could easily have told me to wait until the next day. Also as someone who really doesn’t understand cars, it was a relief for them not to talk down to me or try to take advantage of my position.Highly recommend, they absolutely saved my @ss AND were kind as well
a year agoI had heard good things about this shop. I decided to take my 95 Ford F150 to diagnose my intermittent starting condition. The truck was at the shop for 3 days. Each day I called, the owner , Rich seemed to be unavailable(he was working on my vehicle). Each time I was told I would be called back. I never was, instead I had to continue to call. I finally got ahold of him, and we agreed to replace the battery(it needed one anyway). I told him that the starting condition was pretty easy to reproduce( it is), If anyone were to spend a bit of time on it. I don’t believe any considerable amount of time was spent on my truck, even though it was there for 3 days. He also told me to call back if I reproduced the problem and was stranded, and I did, only to be told by the cashier he would call me right back, which never happened. I never received updates, tests he said he would perform he did not, and the unreliability of the front desk person and the owner are the reasons I’m giving this shop 2 stars. I wish I would have had a better experience. I heard they were much better.11 months agoHuge shoutout to Richard for getting my son’s car started in a cold December morning. He even came to the car so it didn’t have to be towed! Thrilled with our service.

I’ve come here for a long time, and I always get the lowest cost option because it’s “good enough” for me, low cost and gets access to their amazing vacuums that are free after wash. Today, one of the employees noticed a few bugs were still stuck on the front of my car (long drive)…and she offered me a re-wash using one of their best wash options, free of charge!! I already would have left a 5 star review for this company, but the amazing customer service I received today…the fact that she noticed, went out of her way and offered…that compelled me to leave this review.
Not impressed. I usually stop at an automatic car wash in North Lawrence.
The other car wash does a better job of actually washing the entire car, including getting bugs off the windshield and dirt off the back window.
This one did do a better job of getting side mirrors clean and their blow dryers were better. Not sure that warrants the price though. The other car wash is located near the highway, so getting it dry quickly isn’t usually an issue!
Our car was very buggy and had sap droppings from a tree. We bought the premium wash and were told if it wasn’t clean after the first wash, we could go through again at no charge. We ran it through twice and only had remnants of one large bug splat on the window. We were VERY pleased!
I’ve been using Tommy’s for quite sometime. Never had an issue until recently. I upgraded my vehicle to a new one. Two days after purchasing it, I went to wash it at Tommy’s in Lawrence. Upon entering the wash, a young lady (worker) started yelling out & stopped the wash. I was confused/worried it was something serious so I rolled down my window. As soon as I did that, the wash started back up, getting my daughter, mom, interior of my new vehicle, and myself soaked. It then stopped/started back up again. The next time I visited, it was stopped again. I filled out a damage report, called, chatted with customer service via the app, as well as sent emails to the address that customer service gave me – only to have the emails blocked. Yesterday, I went there again. There was one other car ahead of me. They let them in and then proceeded to let me sit there. While sitting there waiting in the App lane, they let two other cars go ahead of me that came in after me. No one will get back with me. I would like my headrest fixed. I canceled my membership. My next option will be to get legal advice. I would prefer to have someone call me back and address the matter.
I love Tommy’s and have been coming here for years – you can’t beat the free vacuums. Today I had the best experience ever… Jose was super friendly and made sure I was happy with the cleaning job. He’s the best!!
