2 months agoI’ve visited this location twice. The first time was okay, definitely not perfect. Today I went again, and I’m less than impressed. I spent $49 to get my car washed and detailed. I wasn’t impressed when they gave me my vehicle back and they were nice enough to take it back in for more wiping. However, even after going back in it still is less than what I expected. I could have just gone to the self service car wash for $15 and did a better job at detailing.2 months agoI am a regular customer at Whitehorse, I love their services and customer service, it is truly spectacular these guys to a great job from the wash to delivery. I had a couple questions I wanted answers for towards the end of the day a couple days ago about the plans they offer. Carson was more than happy to explain how all the plans worked and how the ceramic coating works, I now have a $60.00 a month plan and recommended it to every single person 5 stars for Carson who helps every time I ask for it with a good atmosphere.4 weeks agoService is ok and car wash/interior clean is good ( it great but pretty good). But seems like the facility was nicer, better staffed and cleaner with the previous owner. Clean itself is fine (better attention to cleaning the front and back windshield/window is needed though).2 weeks agoI came to this place a lot over the last year, but today will be my last. When you pay for the inside and outside wash they don’t even wipe down the cars exterior. Instead they let your car sit in the sun, creating water spots all over the car. You would think once they start cleaning the interior they would wipe the exterior down to remove the spots, but they dont. They don’t remove the floor matts, but instead just vacuum around them. They don’t wipe the door jams down ever. They get tire shine all over the paint. The bay is completely trashed and seems to have never been cleaned. For the price you’re paying for an interior and exterior job…you’re better off vacuuming it yourself and doing a laser wash and wiping it down yourself. It’s a shame because this place used to be really reliable.2 months agoCame down for vacation and stayed at the hotel next door. My car was trashed from travel and beach sand so I brought it by. These boys and girls did a lovely job bringing my car back to clean condition. It was a good price of $36 and my car looked brand new basically when they were done! I wish they had a location back home! We come every summer though so I’ll def be coming back through to wash the beach off and out of my car each time we come.

4 months agoThis place is a Charleston institution. It’s been here forever and has many loyal customers. Mr. Perry, the manager rides around and inspects every car and he’s as nice as he can be. If you see something that he didn’t be sure to tell him and he will get it redone. You can browse in the unique gift shop, sit and watch Tv inside, or sit outside and enjoy fresh air. Enjoy that old timey Charleston charm that’s rare these days.a month agoI Uber drive and customers have left stains in my car and last night someone vomited in my car. I have taken my care to two sets let’s and not one could clean the interior but in And Out thad my interior looking brand new and fresh smelling. It only to Carlos 2 hours. My first time there and I will be going there for interior detailing with all of my cars. Mr. Perry was great and he provided excellent and seamless customer service. Bravo!!!!5 months agoPaid like $70-$80 with tip for a car wash and was highly disappointed. There is no attention to detail. I paid for the extra vacuum and there was still animal hair left in my car. The wax on the outside of the car was not done well they did not rub it in well so my whole car was streaked, so had to go home and wipe it down more till it was rubbed in. The windows were done well which is good.2 months agoThis place used to be solid but is terrible now. They barely vacuum and barely wipe down the interior. I have stopped going here. These pictures show all the dirt and sand that they ignored and would have been incredibly easy to clean.4 months agoJust picked my car up from the $50 wash and wax. They decided to fold down the seats they didn’t want to clean I guess. I’d recommend just cleaning your own car and saving yourself some cash.

Disappointing. Second Trip to Zips Mount Pleasant today. First resulted in waiting in line to be told the pump was broken but it would be fixed in an hour. Drive by an hour later and it still wasn’t fixed. Returned about 5:30 pm to this sign. Pay for monthly service, so suggest you give them time to figure out staffing and maintenance issues. There is a good deal of blue painter’s tape holding things together.
I’m from Myrtle Beach, I stop by this car wash in Mt Pleasant on the way to Charleston. And to my surprise. Before pulling in I was greeted by devon Who was very accommodating. After going through the car wash I was totally surprised. It was a very good experience which I was not used to. Myrtle Beach has the worst zip car washes Ever. They never have any chemical when they do they water it down going through the car wash there’s very little suds at all. It’s like water. There’s no towels ever available. And when they are there all wet, just thrown in the Pile. The vacuum cleaners barely work at all. Wonder why there’s a huge difference between locations.
There is no way out I’m thinking. From ZIPS after months of writing them:
“Thank you for providing that information. Per your request your membership has been canceled and will no further be billed.”
July 11, 2023 and they are STILL billing!
This place has gone so far downhill, I will be canceling my monthly I’ve had for years. Today I was told they are no longer doing prewash spray “actually been turned off” per the attendant with a toddler in the office. Also, Half the vacuum’s haven’t worked for ages and if they do very low power.
Washed my car here one time. Did not understand what the attendant said and she gave me the membership paper. I did not even fill out the form and somehow my card has still been charged the monthly membership fee. Do not recommend zips, not worth the price or having to now call and deal with a membership I did not sign up for.
